My life as an eating psychology coach with Bridget Jane

What made you want to become an Eating Psychology Coach?

I had come to a place in my life, both professionally and personally, in which I KNEW that weight, health, and energy were NOT just about food, exercise, calories, and equations. I KNEW these things yet I had no “evidence” to back me and I felt obligated to teach what I had been taught as a Dietitian and uphold the values of my professional body. I was looking for answers and I stumbled across Marc David and The Institute for the Psychology of Eating. Everything resonated with me and I was hooked!

What do you love about being an Eating Psychology Coach?

The TRUTH of the work! The freedom it gifts to recipients of the work. The intelligence, genius, wisdom, integrity and uniqueness of the work. I LOVE how it really honors a person. I LOVE how it deals with the REAL issues and gets right to SOURCE – the CAUSE – to the answer.

What does your practice look like?

My practice is worldwide. I work with most of my clients on the phone or via Skype. I also have online programs and a 6-month immersion Academy called Glow Academy. I specialize mostly in weight loss, depression, anxiety, confidence, energy and digestion.

How did your education at the Institute prepare you to work successfully with clients?

It really gave me the confidence to practice in the way I believed to be true and right. Listening to Marc’s teachings was like being in my own head! Finally, I had evidence and explanations for WHY what I had thought was right and I felt ready to go on in the world and share these “uncommon” messages. I finally found my “tribe.” It also gave me LOTS of examples, case studies, and personal experience.

What was your favorite aspect of the Training?

Oh, but I loved it all! The live teleclasses and the recordings were amazing! The notes and handouts were great too! The staff are amazing – so helpful and friendly! The live event in Boulder was LIFE changing! I would have LOVED ongoing access to the content, that is the only part I struggled with.

How has being an Eating Psychology Coach impacted your professional life/financial well-being?

It’s just enhanced and “made more true” what I was already doing. It has enabled me to really align who I am professionally with who I am personally so that there is no contradiction or disconnection. I’m able to stand in the world with full integrity, truth and honesty and that means EVERYTHING to me. When I’m aligned, EVERYTHING flows including finances.

How has being an Eating Psychology Coach impacted you personally?

It has enabled me to fully heal any “residual” body, eating, weight issues I’ve had. To trust myself more and learn how to truly love myself, how to really nourish, nurture, and care for myself. It has taught me how to work WITH myself instead of always against myself. It taught me how to have compassion and patience and trust in myself. It enabled me to heal my PCOS naturally and really put into practice what I believe about mind-body healing and connection.

What do you see for yourself in your future as an Eating Psychology Coach – where is your work evolving towards?

I see myself eventually publishing a book or two or three, having a 1:1 coaching practice, writing, speaking, creating more online programs, collaborating, being more in the public eye, and really thriving in a space of “go-to” expert.

Why would you recommend the Training to others?

Yes! If you are ready and prepared to go really deep and be real and honest with yourself, life, health and your work then YES! Marc David speaks with such truth and love and integrity and it is echoed in every single thing that the Institute puts out. I hand on heart fully endorse, recommend, and LOVE everything the Institute is about.

Anything else you’d like to share?

It’s not ALL of who I am but it is an INTEGRAL and CORE aspect of who I am and I would NOT feel complete without it!
