At the Institute for the Psychology of Eating, our students come from all walks of life. We have recent high school grads studying alongside folks who are starting a new career after 30+ years in the working world. Whether you’re going back to school after taking time off to raise a family, looking for a job that better fits your passions, or seeking some new skills to turbocharge your existing coaching practice, you’re not alone. We’ve designed our Eating Psychology Coach Certification Training to support YOU, wherever you are in your career journey.

Can an Online Training have a Personal Feel?

These days, lots of education programs have moved online. For adult learners with busy lives, this can be great: you get more flexibility with your schedule and location, tons of educational resources at your fingertips, and often, a lower out-of-pocket cost. But prospective students sometimes wonder if anything is lost when school moves out of the physical classroom and onto the Internet.

We believe that interaction with your instructors and with your fellow students is what creates the spirit of “tribe” that makes our Eating Psychology Coach Certification Training so much more than a professional development course. It’s more like an educational adventure that you’re going on – and like all good adventures, you’ll have friends, teachers, and helpers by your side all the way.

Tele-Classes with Marc David

Marc is the senior teacher in this Training and it’s his years of experience in the coaching field that inspired him to found the Institute for the Psychology of Eating. There’s no one more knowledgeable when it comes to the foundational principles of Mind Body Nutrition and Dynamic Eating Psychology that we’ve developed at the Institute. In two live tele-classes each month, you’ll be able to ask Marc all your questions about the content of the Training and how it relates to real life coaching situations. You’ll also get to hear what your classmates are wondering about, so you can get an even broader perspective. And don’t worry if you have to miss a call (or want to hear it again) – they’re all recorded so you can catch up when your schedule allows.

Meet Your Classmates

There are lots of ways for you to interact with your classmates. You’ll have access to online discussion boards through our interactive student website, as well as private Facebook groups where you can share inspiration and encouragement and discuss the content that you’re learning. If there are other students in your area, you can even start a meetup group and get together in person. Our graduates tell us they’ve made lasting friendships as well as strong professional connections here.

Practice Coaching One On One

If you sign up for our Peer Coaching program (included in the tuition), you’ll be matched with a fellow student to practice the coaching techniques that you’re learning. You’ll meet once a month by phone or online video chat. This is a great opportunity to receive the benefits of coaching and build deeper connections while helping someone else with their real life food challenges.

Your Student Support Team

Whether you have urgent questions or just want to check in between tele-classes, we have a team of graduates ready to support you by email, through the online forums, or over the phone. Our team members know what it’s like to go through this Training and they care deeply about . You can reach out any time – we’re here for you!

Lots of Flexibility

We designed this Training to be doable for the busy modern student who’s already got a lot on their plate… Someone who has a full time job, a family to care for, and a lot of interests… Someone just like you!

The Training is divided into 7 content rich modules. When a new module comes out, you get access to all the content at once so that you can work through it in the way that best fits your schedule — a little at a time or in a few big chunks; before your kids wake up in the morning, or over the weekend. You can download the audio files for all the presentations if you prefer to listen on the go. If you need a little extra guidance, we’ll help you come up with a study plan that works for you. We’re committed to your success and we will do everything we can to help you get there!

Grand Finale: The Live Event

A big highlight of this Training is the live conference that concludes your journey of becoming a Certified Eating Psychology Coach. Our students come from all over the world to join us in beautiful Colorado, USA for several days of learning, sharing, fellowship, and celebration. Marc, Emily, and their special guests facilitate workshops and offer even more content that you can use to build your new practice. When we all meet in person at the conclusion of an intense year of growth and earning, a memorable experience is guaranteed!

After You Graduate

Once you’ve joined our community, you’ll become part of a global movement that’s changing the way the world understands food, body, and health. We continue to support our graduates long after the Training ends. You’ll have access to the Graduate Directory, where we send hundreds of referrals each month. You can keep in touch with your classmates and connect with other graduates through our alumni groups, and reach out to our team by email any time.

Sound exciting? We thought so! We’re passionate about this Training and we love talking about it.
