Nutrition alone is no longer adequate enough in addressing the compelling challenges we face with food, weight, body image, overeating and all of our metabolic concerns. Instead, we must fully embrace the psychology of the eater – the heart, mind and soul dimensions of what it means to truly nourish one’s body and being. From there, true healing is possible.
Each of us can use our own personal journey and transformation to serve others and do rewarding work in the world that makes a real difference. What is Dynamic Eating Psychology
Dynamic Eating Psychology is an exciting new approach originated here at the Institute. It’s a positive, uplifting and empowering eating psychology for everyone. It sees all of our eating challenges as a doorway to growth and transformation. And it honors the unique, fascinating, and ever changing experience of food and body that each one of us has.
Simply put, the Dynamic Eating Psychology system is all about your “food story.” Whereas eating psychology has traditionally focused on eating disorders, this new field is for anyone who eats. It incorporates sustainable, results driven strategies and techniques that make a real difference. And it’s an approach that embraces all of who we are as eaters – body, mind, heart and soul.
What Is Mind Body Nutrition
Mind Body Nutrition is another exciting new approach originated here at the Institute. It’s the psychophysiology of how digestion, assimilation, calorie burning, and all the nutritive functions of the body are impacted by stress, relaxation, thoughts, feelings, beliefs, pleasure, nourishment, awareness, meal timing, our personal story, and so much more.
Each of these literally and scientifically impact nutritional status in a powerful way. The Mind Body Nutrition system affirms that what we eat is half the story of good nutrition – the other half of the story is who we are as eaters. Simply put, Mind Body Nutrition is what you think and feel. It uses strategies and techniques that can create a lasting metabolic difference.
