Professional Tele-Training
Frequently Asked Questions

+Who teaches this Training?
The Professional Tele-Training is taught exclusively by the founder and director of IPE, Marc David.

+Does this happen over the computer?
The Training happens exclusively over the telephone, via a conference call.

+Is this Training exclusively lecture format?
Classes are a well-planned blend of lecture/presentation, with ample time for questions and group discussion. The content is rich, powerful and abundant.

+What if I miss a class?
The TeleTraining is designed to accommodate your busy schedule. If you miss a class – no need to worry. All classes are recorded and available to participants as audio downloads which are yours to keep. In addition, class notes and highlights are emailed to all students after each class.

+What is the workload for this Training?
The workload is determined by you. A recommended reading list is provided for the Training. Students can choose how much or how little they wish to read. Optional homework is given before each class. It is not graded, and again, it’s up to each student to choose how much they wish to do. This makes our Professional Tele-Training a self paced course that you adapt to your needs.

+Do I get certified in this Professional Tele-Training?
Only in the Professional Certification Training do students of IPE receive a certification as a Dynamic Eating Psychology Coach. However, upon completion of the Professional Tele-Training , you will receive a certificate that acknowledges your commitment, efforts and completion of the Training.

+Is this a Nutrition Program?
Our program is entirely unique because it teaches about food, eating and health by NOT focusing on nutrition. You will learn extensively about Mind Body Nutrition – however this field isn’t exclusively centered around what to eat, how much to eat, or nutrient needs. That said, we do talk quite often about many different aspects of nutrition. For our Trainings, it is very useful to have basic nutrition knowledge. If you don’t, we can recommend books to read or online courses to take to help get you quickly caught up.

+Is this a program about Eating Disorders?
Our programs are not about eating disorders. Our programs focus on the kinds of eating challenges and issues that most people tend to face – weight loss, body image challenges, binge eating, overeating, chronic dieting, stress induced eating, and others. We don’t talk about eating disorders such as anorexia or extreme obesity. These issues affect less than 2% of Americans. Our programs, which focus on Dynamic Eating Psychology, addresses the other 98% of people who don’t have a clinical disorder, but have everyday concerns that are meaningful and important to them.

+What if I am totally new to Psychology?
No previous training in psychology is necessary for students in our programs. Our Trainings feature easy-to-learn and easy-to-practice psychological, counseling and coaching principles.

+What if I am already a health or counseling professional?
Great! Our program is especially designed to help take professionals to the next level in working with the psychological and mind body dimensions of the most common food, eating, and nutrition-linked challenges.

+Can I take this Training if I am not interested in using it professionally?
Yes. Many of our students intend to use their education personally – for self, family and friends.

+Is this Training a substitute for Therapy?
Our Trainings are not a substitute for therapy. The Trainings are designed to be personally impactful and meaningful, so students often receive benefits that are life changing and life enhancing.

+ What is the difference between the Professional Certification Training and the Professional Tele-Training?
Our Professional Certification Training is an intensive, deep immersion into all that the Institute has to offer. It is our most robust and signature training. The training totals approximately 300 hours. Upon completion, students are granted a certificate and certified as an Eating Psychology Coach. Our Professional Tele-Training is a highly condensed version of the Professional Certification Training. It’s designed for students who want to study this unique work, however they have considerations around cost, travel, and time that prohibit them from enrolling in the Professional Certification Training.  The Professional Tele-Training consists of 30 classroom hours.  Students are granted a certificate for completing this Training, but are NOT certified as a Certified Eating Psychology Coach.

+Will I learn business skills for my practice?
Our program does not focus on business skills for your practice. We do have some great, recommended experts in these areas that you can work with privately.

+What is the Tuition?
Please read about our payment plans here.

+Who is IPE’s student body?
Our students are a vibrant community of learners and professionals from all walks of life who are committed to making a difference by being counselors, healers, educators and change agents. Our students are motivated and energetic people who are comfortable learning and growing at the leading edge of psychology, nutrition, and health.
