Classes are a well planned blend of lecture/presentation, with ample time for questions and group discussion. The content is rich, powerful and abundant
What if I miss a class?
This Training is designed to accommodate your busy schedule. If you miss a class – no need to worry. All classes are recorded and available to participants as audio downloads which are yours to keep. In addition, class notes and highlights are emailed to all students after each class
What is the workload for this Training?
The workload is totally up to each student. A recommended reading list is provided for the Training. Students can choose how much or how little they wish to read. Optional homework is given before each class. It is not graded, and again, it is up to each student to choose how much they wish to do. This makes our 5 Month TeleTraining a self paced course that you adapt to your needs
Do I get certified in this 5 month Training?
Only in the Year Long Training do students of IPE receive a certification as a Dynamic Eating Psychology Counselor. Upon completion of the 5 Month Training though, you will receive a diploma that acknowledges your commitment, efforts and completion of the Training
What if I complete the 5 Month TeleTraining, then decide later to take the Year Long training?
Great! We encourage graduates of our 5 Month Training to do this if they can. The good news is that students can deduct the full cost of the 5 Month Training from the tuition due for the Year Long Training. So students who decide to do both Trainings lose nothing and pay only for the cost of the Year Long Training
Is this a Nutrition Program?
Our program is entirely unique because it teaches about food, eating and health by NOT focusing on nutrition. You will learn extensively about Mind Body Nutrition – however this field is not centered around what to eat, how much to eat, or nutrient needs. We love nutrition, but we do not teach nutrition per se – we teach psychological, mind/body, coaching and counseling principles. That said, we do talk quite often about many different aspects of nutrition. For our Trainings, it is very useful to have basic nutrition knowledge. If you don’t, we can recommend books to read or online courses to take to help get you quickly caught up
Is this a program about Eating Disorders?
Our programs are not about eating disorders. Our programs only focus on the kinds of eating challenges and issues that most people tend to face – weight loss, body image challenges, binge eating, overeating, chronic dieting, stress induced eating, and others. We don’t talk about eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia or extreme obesity. These affect less than 1% of Americans. Our programs, which focus on Dynamic Eating Psychology, addresses the other 99% of people who don’t have a clinical disorder, but have everyday concerns that are meaningful and important to them
What if I am totally new to Nutrition?
Prior nutrition knowledge or training is very helpful for our programs, but not necessary. If you are totally new to nutrition, we will recommend books or online courses to easily help you acquire a foundation of nutrition knowledge before your Training begins
What if I am totally new to Psychology?
No previous training in psychology is necessary for students in our programs. Our Trainings feature easy-to-learn and easy-to-practice psychological, counseling and coaching principles
What if I am already a health or counseling professional?
Great! Our program is especially designed to help take professionals to the next level in working the psychological and mind body dimensions of the most common food, eating, and nutrition-linked challenges
Can I take this Training if I am not interested in using it professionally?
Yes. Many of our students intend to use their education personally – for self, family and friends
Is this Training a substitute for Therapy?
Our Trainings are not a substitute for therapy. And, they are designed to be personally impactful and meaningful, so students often receive benefits that are life changing and life enhancing
What is the difference between the Year Long Training and the 5 Month Teleclass Training?
Our Year Long Training is an intensive, 7-weekend, deep immersion, on location professional program in Boulder Colorado that includes teleseminars and homework in between sessions. There are approximately 250 classroom hours. Upon completion, students are granted a certificate as a Certified Dynamic Eating Psychology Counselor (CDEPC). Our 5-MonthTeleTraining is a highly condensed version of the year Long Training. It’s designed for students who want to study this unique work, however they have considerations around cost, travel, and time that prohibit them from enrolling in the Year Long Training. The 5 Month TeleTraining consists of 30 classroom hours. Students are granted a certificate for completing this Training, but are NOT certified as a Dynamic Eating Psychology Counselor

Soulful - our whole approach is grounded in the richness of the soul, and the teachings of timeless wisdom traditions that view human affairs from a greater, more artful and compassionately loving reality
Scientific - the Training is rooted in the kind of mind body nutrition knowledge that's clear, concise, and clinically useful
Intuitive - in addition to exercising your cognitive muscles, you'll honor and strengthen your intuitive ones as well
Transformational - the Training is designed to assist you in your own alchemical growth and healing, which truly qualifies us more deeply as a healer and counselor of others
What's expected of me in this Training?
Very simple - We hope that you want to learn more and serve others in a deeper way. That you think it's important for those in the health and healing professions to take time for their own professional and personal development. We’d love for you attend as many classes as you can, and listen to the recordings of the classes you cannot be present for. And we ask that you be willing to consider that your effectiveness as a professional is closely tied to your own personal development and transformation.
